Medium Term Accommodation

Under the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) a temporary housing support provided to participants who need transitional housing while they wait for their long-term living arrangements to be ready.

This could be while waiting for home modifications to be completed, respite or securing more permanent housing. Grow can offer clients who take up its MTA service with daily supports if required.

Key Features of Medium-Term Accommodation:

  • Short-term, transitional support: MTA is not permanent but offers participants a safe and comfortable place to live for up to 90 days while their long-term plans are finalised.

  • Supports independent living: The goal of MTA is to maintain participants' independence and support them while they prepare for their more permanent housing solution.

  • Inclusive of housing costs only: NDIS funding for MTA covers only the cost of the accommodation itself. Additional supports, such as daily living assistance, personal care, and meals, are funded separately through other components of the participant’s NDIS plan.

  • Flexible and varied options: MTA can be provided in various settings, including supported disability housing, private rentals, or even group homes, depending on the participant's needs.
